Great Lakes Recording Company
What We Offer
Music Production
Music making was the gateway to this whole endeavor. We have an endless supply of enthusiasm for music making to bring your work to life in its truest form.
We cover the full spectrum of music production including composing, recording, and mixing full scale music projects. We’ve worked in various shades of rock, country, electronic music, jazz, and more and have a roster of studio musicians that can animate them all.
We embrace all the vibe and tactility of vintage instruments and electronics and pair them with the remarkable facility of modern recording and editing.
Audio Storytelling
We provide a comprehensive set of production tools for audio-based storytelling, including recording, editing, mixing, music, and sound design.
Our mission in audio storytelling aims to propel listeners through conversations and narratives with a keen sense of mood and momentum. We embark on journeys, elucidate complex ideas, and create through-lines through sound.

Archive Restoration
In the short life-span of recorded media, we’ve seen an an array of formats, storage devices, and playback machines, and so often, much can be lost in the shuffle.
Our enthusiasm for all eras of recorded medium have led to the development of our digitization and restoration practice. We’ll convert your cassette, ADAT, or reel to reel recording into something you can listen back to with ease now and secure for the future. We’ll get rid of those pops and hisses too.
We appreciate the ability to connect to the past and to the lived experiences of previous generations in new ways through modernizing and clarifying recordings from years past.
